Introduction Dives in Bali…

1 Day, Brief Theory Overview, 2 Dives & Optional Pool Session.

When you do your introduction dives with us here in Bali, you discover scuba diving excitement and adventure, freedom and serenity. Nothing compares to the “weightless” exhilarating thrill of breathing underwater. Only a diver knows the feeling!

The Introduction Dives (similar to PADI Discover Scuba Diving or DSD) lets you experience the wonder of diving under the supervision of a PADI Instructor in ideal conditions, such as those found at a resort. During your adventure, you’ll master some basic concepts and scuba skills, either in a pool or in shallow and confined sea water, before heading off on an open water dive.  This isn’t a PADI certification, just an scuba diving experience to get you underwater without much time spent training.  If you  want to do a scuba diving course in Bali, check out our PADI Scuba Diver course or our PADI Open Water Diver course.

Your open water dive takes you as deep as 12 metres. The Introduction Dive experience is a great way to get a head start on your PADI Scuba Diver or PADI Open Water Diver certification. That’s because the skills you complete during this adventure, such as mask clearing, regulator recovery and sharing air, prepare you for these certification levels.

NOTE:  You should have some basic swimming capability and be comfortable in the water to do this experience.  Introductions Dives are not a course and do not result in any certification or credit towards a certificate.  It’s just a fun experience, designed to get you underwater for 2 dives, without lots of training and homework!

We always recommend doing a pool session first, to make you more comfortable on the day.  This can either be done on a day prior to the trip or a quick pool session at Tulamben if choosing that option.

We can even run the pool sessions at your hotel (with their permission) or villa (if it’s large enough) in Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Canggu, Sanur, Nusa Dua and may other locations in Bali.  Ask for details.

Divers must be 10 years old or older to participate in the Introduction Dives.

Divers must be in good health to go diving and are required to complete a brief medical questionnaire.  Click here to view the medical form.  If you answer ‘yes’ to any of the questions on the first page, you will need to visit your doctor and obtain medical approval before registering for the course.

You need to allow 18 hours to pass before flying after diving! So if flying the following day, make sure it is after 7am.
